Privacy Policy
Last updated June 2026
Intro Connect helps event hosts turn their attendee list into a private,
searchable directory. This policy explains what we collect, how we use
it, and the commitments we make. It is written to be readable, not to
hide things in legalese.
The short version
- Attendees never pay, and we never sell their data. No ads, no data brokers, no marketing lists. This is written into our terms, not just our marketing.
- Hosts own their event data. Attendees own their own profiles and can edit or delete them at any time.
- We only collect what the product needs to work.
What we collect
- Account information: name, email, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
- Profile information you provide: role, company, bio, photo, links, and what you are looking for. You choose what to add.
- Event data: the events you host or join, the directory you appear in, contacts you save, and private notes you write.
- Basic usage data: the minimum needed to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
To operate the directory and messaging, to send transactional email
(such as your login link or a password reset), and to keep accounts
secure. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, and we do
not sell or rent it to anyone.
Who can see your information
Directories are scoped to a single event. Only people who attended the
same event can see each other. Private notes are visible only to the
person who wrote them. You can hide your profile at any time.
Your choices
- Edit or delete your profile whenever you want.
- Delete your account, which removes your profile and personal data.
- Hosts can export their event data and request deletion.
